In 2016 the Conservative County Council voted to slash funding to Dorset Youth Services by £1 Million
This resulted in job losses, with the Council backing out of support for youth groups across the county, and asking for local volunteers to pick up the slack.
Many of the children using these centres are from vulnerable backgrounds, and the loss or downgrading of these facilities will have a disproportionate effect on those who already suffer the most.
Liberal Democrats believe that support for our most vulnerable is a duty of care that the Council must not shirk.
